SGX-ST LISTING CEREMONY

Anchor Resources Limited, which is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia made, its debut on the SGX-ST on the 18th of March 2016. Anchor Resources Limited is engaged in the business of exploration, mining and production of gold for sale in Malaysia. The company holds concession rights to two mining areas- the Lubuk Mandi Mine & the Bukit Panji Property’ both situated on the Eastern Gold Belt of Peninsular Malaysia, in the state of Terengganu.

To celebrate the prestigious occasion, members of the Board, Management, Professionals and Staff gathered at SGX to commemorate the IPO. Founder & Managing Director of Anchor Resources Limited, Mr Lim Chiau Woei gave a superb speech about the company and its future plans during the occasion.

“The successful listing marks a significant milestone for Anchor Resources, and an endorsement and a vote of confidence in our business and long-term growth. Demand for gold is expected to be steady and we look forward to expanding our capabilities to ride on such demand and create value for shareholders.”



In his speech, Mohamed Nasser Ismail, Head of Equity Capital Markets (SME) and Head of Capital Markets Development, SGX said, “We are pleased to welcome Anchor Resources, a gold exploration, mining and production company to Catalist. Its listing brings the number of mineral, oil and gas companies listed on SGX to 28, with a combined market capitalisation of $2.3 billion. We look forward to supporting the company on its growth journey, as it utilises our fast-growth platform for its fund raising activities.”

A ‘GONG’ ceremony with Directors and Associates also marked the event. As this was an auspicious occasion for the company and the Group, a traditional lion dance was held to the enjoyment of all present. During the ceremony, a presentation and exchange of mementos took place between SGX and Anchor Resources Limited. An exchange of mementos between the Sponsor, UOB Kay Hian Private Limited also took place.

APPRECIATION LUNCH

To commemorate the listing ceremony on SGX-ST, Anchor Resources Limited hosted an appreciation lunch for invited guests, senior staff, key executives, management and directors from SGX, UOB Kay Hian Private Limited and other professionals on the 18th of March 2016. The Luncheon was held at the Amber Room, Sheraton Towers Hotel Singapore. Guests were welcomed by the staff and directors of Anchor Resources. During lunch our Managing Director, Mr. Lim Chiau Woei presented staff of Anchor Resources, invited guests and other executives with mementos and gifts of glass-encased ‘Gold Rocks’ mined and produced from our Lubuk Mandi Mine.

COPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - SCHOOL BAGS PRESENTATION CEREMONY

On the 1st of February 2016 as part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Group’s subsidiary, Angka Alamjaya Sdn Bhd., together with local authorities and NGO’s organised a Bag Presentation Ceremony at the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Rhu Rendang in Marang in the state of Terengganu. Bags were presented to many less fortunate children around the vicinity and a few handicapped children whose parents were also handicapped and could not afford to purchase their children’s essential school items. Not only were the less fortunate given school bags but the entire year one pupils of SK Rhu Rendang were also presented with free school bags. A total of 81 less fortunate students were given the school bags by YAM Tengku Sri Temenggong Raja, Tengku Baharuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud.

The event was attended by the Executive Director of Angka Alamjaya Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Lim Chiau Woei, and En. Kassim Husin, The Education Officer in Marang, En. Roslan Ngah, The Head of The Parent Teacher Association (PIBG) of SK Rhu Rending together with En. Mohd Hatta Che Man, The Head Master of SK Rhu Rendang.

In his speech, Mr Lim Chiau Woei said that we don’t always focus on our company making profits but to take responsibility for the development and wellbeing of the local residents. He also believed that this yearly programme will be of much help to the local residents and pledged that the company will prepare and present 289 school bags together with 280 sets of stationery and writing instruments.
